Adrian Gronseth is an MA student in the History Department at UI. His current research interests include the early American music industry, African American music during the Civil War and Reconstruction, and folk song collecting around the turn of the 20th century.

Anne Guthrie (BA) is a PhD student in Architectural Acoustics at the Renneslauer Institute of Technology.

Trevor S. Harvey is a lecturer in ethnomusicology/musicology at The University of Iowa.

Kimberly Hieb (MA) is Associate Professor of Music History at West Texas A&M University in Canyon Texas.  

Shane Hoose (PhD) is an Assistant Professor of Music, with a focus on music technology and recording arts, at Eastern Kentucky University.

Ching-chu Hu (MA) received the DMA degree from the University of Michigan and is Professor of Composition at Denison University (Ohio).

Stephen Husarik (PhD) is Professor of Music and Humanities at the University of Arkansas, Fort Smith, where he serves as Head Carillonneur. 

Minpyo Kim (PhD) is currently a lecturer at Busan National University, Korea Baptist Theological University, and Mokwon University.

Shinjung Kim (PhD) currently teaches in South Korea.

Aaron Kirschner (BM) is currently enrolled in the MA composition degree at the University of Utah.

Jessica Kizzire (PhD) has taught music history, music appreciation, American popular music, and video game listening courses at Greenville University and the University of New Haven. She currently works as a subject matter expert at Outlier.org.

Danielle Kramer is a master’s student in Musicology. Her primary research interests include adaptation studies in film music and sound design, musical theater’s impact on pop music, and community music making in the Midwest.

Evan Kuchar (MA) is currently living in Chicago, and works as a web developer for Granicus and Polymathic.

Zane Larson is a PhD student in Musicology. He holds a MM in Music Theory from Florida State University and a BA in Music Performance (vocal) with a minor in education from Luther College. Zane’s primary research areas include contemporary pop music, musical theatre, choral music, and film music.

Katheryn (Kery) Lawson (MA) completed an MA in Librarian and Information Science at Iowa in 2017 and is now a PhD Candidate in History at the University of Delaware.

David Maki (MA) received the DMA degree from the University of Michigan and is Professor of Composition at Northern Illinois University.

George Marie (MA) received the PhD degree in composition from the University of Utah.

Lieschen Mast (MA) is currently a private piano teacher.

Israel Neuman (PhD) is currently re-enrolled in a Masters of Computer Science degree at the University of Iowa.

Hang Nguyen (PhD, MLIS) is Reference Librarian at the State Historical Society of Iowa in Iowa City. She completed her PhD in Musicology in 2018 and the Master's in Library and Information Science in 2021.

Cody Norling is a doctoral alumnus in Musicology. As an archival historian, he studies a range of topics related to operatic dissemination, consumption, and reception in the United States, and his dissertation research concerns the civic density of operatic cultures in 1920s Chicago.

Stas Omelchenko (PhD) is currently an adjunct professor of music theory, composition, and electronic music at the University of Tampa.

Jason Palamara (PhD) successfully defended his dissertation in Spring 2015.

Dimitri Papageorgiou (PhD) is an Assistant Professor of Composition at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece.
