Musicology PhD candidate Zane Larson reviewed Leonard Bernstein in Context, a new collection of essays edited by Elizabeth A. Wells and published by Cambridge University Press, for Musica Judaica Online Reviews. Zane offered this reflection on the process of crafting his first book review:
"Writing the review for Leonard Bernstein in Context was an exciting process where I both learned more about Bernstein but also learned more about the medium of book reviews. I first workshopped my review with Dr. Sarah Suhadolnik who gave me pointers on the goals of book reviews that helped with my overall content focus. After this, I worked with the editor of the journal, Dr. Rachel Adelstein, and had a great experience with the process of editing and revising to best serve readers."
